Where does the sun's energy come from?

The Earth's CoreThe energy that comes from the sun is produced in the inner surface of the sun called the core. Every second the core releases huge explosions that lets off large bursts of energy.

The sun is 150 MILLION km away from the earth, So we would normally recieve it in 8 minutes.

Problems

Installing a solar power system is very expensive in the short term. However, in the "long term" you are saving thousands on heating and electricity bills- and your reducing your contribution to climate change.

If however you're connected to the grid, the electricity supplier can buy excess electricity you generate and feed it back into the grid. This way you make a financial return on your solar investment.
